A note from the founders

A year ago, I asked ChatGPT, “best knife roll for a professional chef.”

And instead of recommending Sheath — my own knife roll company — it was recommending my competitors. I wasn’t even on the list.

But that was the moment I realized the importance of AI and how customers now find businesses. They were using ChatGPT and Perplexity to find brands like mine, and I was still optimizing for Google.

So I partnered with Jake O’Brien to build the software.

I wanted Sheath to be the company AI recommends.

And everything changed.
